Do your motors require lubrication?

Yes, the motor does require greasing every 4-6 months (depending RPM's) but does not require any oil in the air.

Are your motors energy efficient?

Yes, when compared to a vane style motor, you can save up to 80% of your air consumption. Also when compared to most piston style air motors you can save up to 15% air consumption.

Why would I want your motors when I have a VDF compressor?

Although it is true that a VDF compressor is the most energy efficient way to produce compressed air, switching to a piston style motor still can save up to 80% of your air consumption.

How long does your motor last?

With regular maintenance and periodic minor repair kits, the motor should last many years.

How long will it take to get the products I order?

Generally, most standard products are in stock (excluded: custom designs) and can be shipped within 3 business days.

Can you supply a custom mount to suit our facility?

Yes, we pride ourselves on working with the customers to supply tailored solutions for their individual needs.

How much solvent does your cap cleaner use?

With our variety of built-in flow restrictors, you can use as little as 25cc of solvent per second.

Is there a way to Control the speed of your motor?

You can control the speed of the motor with a needle valve attached to the air supply port, or our optional electronic speed control which works off of the actual RPM to give precise control, regardless of the level of the material in your tank or barrel.

How do I know what speed your motor is running at?

Simply press the read button on the standard tachometer supplied, to get an accurate display of the true RPM.

Is your motor suitable for an explosion proof environment?

Yes, being pneumatic with no source of ignition, and our electronic tach and speed control having UL certification for Class 1 Div. 1 environment you can be confident of your safety.

Where are your air motors and cleaners made?

All Circle Dynamics products are manufactured in our modern CNC facility in Peterborough Ontario, Canada.

How do I know if your motor is turning?

You can verify the status of your motor by using our electronic tachometer, look in the sight glass, or read the data from your PLC when interfaced with our optional monitoring unit or speed control.

Are your motors quiet?

With the muffler supplied with your air motor the noise level is extremely low, around 25 Decibels.

Can I purge into your applicator cleaner?

Yes, our DR and DRH model cleaners are specifically designed for a Purge/Fill process and cleaning process virtually simultaneously to achieve the quickest possible clean and color change functions.
